What to study after SEE in Nepal

What to study after SEE? Where to study?  What is best for You? Will You get the job after studying a particular subject? What is the scope of different faculties? These are the most common questions among the students who just have stepped out of school premises.

I knew I am also facing this type of question after I passed SLC/SEE examination. We also called this examination is the Iran Gate. After that all door are opened for us for the further studying.

1) Science

If you have planned to study medicine, engineering, Agriculture, and Forestry, BSc (Bachelor in   Science bsc), CSIT (Bachelor in Science and Information Technology). Then science is the one and only option.

If you get good score in SEE examination then you should study science. Because it opened all possibilities for higher study.

Further, if you don’t know which field to choose as your carrier path after plus two and if you are good at science then also it’s better to take science. Because it opens doors to other faculties too likes as CA, BBA, BED, Nursing and Another medical sector.

 

2) Management

If you are still confused about what to do after SEE? the Commerce stream is another good option after SEE. If you are the one having strong mathematics and analytical abilities, then, commerce would be the best choice for you. The Commerce stream also provides a wide selection of career opportunities.

It is also commonly known as commerce among the masses. This is best for the banking, Insurance, Marketing, Leadership and management sector.

You have a wide range of opportunities for choosing the commerce stream. The classes for which students can apply after passing the National Examination Board, class 12 examination with Commerce stream are BBA, BMS, BBM, B. Com, CFA, CA, ICWA, CFP, etc.

 



3) Humanities

Humanities commonly called the arts stream, hold the broadest scope of opportunities for students. Arts or Humanities stream is usually preferred by those students who either find the above streams less interesting or hard. The course is usually studied over a two-year period as an Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level and Advanced (A or A2) level. ‘A’ Level is equivalent to the Secondary (10+2) / the two-year Intermediate level studies or PCL/Diploma Level in Nepal. Students can enroll in medical/ engineering Colleges or pursue higher education in Management, IT, Pure Sciences or Social Sciences after the completion of course. There are two types of course.

  • A-Level Science
  • A- Level Non-Science

A Level Science stream consists of Physical Group (with Core subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics), and Biological Group (with Core subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).

A Level Non-Science stream consists of Management Group (with Core Subjects Accounting, Business, and Economics) and Humanities Group (with core subjects Economics, Sociology, and Psychology).
